The Latvian Centre for Human Rights and Ethnical Studies (LCHRES), a member organisation of the International Helsinki Human Rights Federation, has prepared its regular review on the human rights situation in Latvia in the first half of 2001.
Besides the traditional LCHRES subjects (judiciary system, minorities, women’s rights, children’s rights, etc.), this review also analyses the situation in the field of soldiers’ rights. The review contains information on the claims reviewed and consultations provided (total 61) by LCHRES during the first half of the year. |
