The idea of introducing the immovable property ownership tax has again sparked off a stormy debate in Croatia. The paper seeks to answer three questions concerning the property taxes: (1) What taxes are levied on immovable property? (2) How much revenue do the immovable property taxes produce? (3) Has a comprehensive tax on immovable property ownership already existed in Croatia?
