The Policy Documentation Center is the work of the Center for Policy Studies at the Central European University, Budapest, Hungary. With the encouragement of the Open Society Institute, we began this initiative to provide easy access to policy research being carried out in central and eastern Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union. The aim is to create a resource that will be useful for researching and teaching public policy and that will help promote the policy expertise of regional based research institutes and think tanks. We hope that the PDC will be useful for a range of people and that in the future it will grow to reflect the increasing diversity of policy actors, debates and discussions.
We are well aware that there are many more research institutes, think tanks and policy research that we have not included in this database. If you wish to send papers, to recommend think tanks or research institutes not already represented then please feel free to contact us at pdc@ceu.hu
