The relationship of the Slovak Public to the North Atlantic Alliance - value and attitude contexts

The article claims that the post World War II perception of Nato by Slovaks is changing from negative to positive. Perceptions of both national and personal security are key factors in shaping current attitudes towards Nato. The attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York and the ensuing feeling of a need to form a strong international coalition against terrorism was one of the factors shaping this changing mood.
