| "Reform Strategy for Education in Ukraine: Educational Policy Recommendations" is an outcome of a project jointly implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation Ukraine, the UNDP, Open Society Institute Budapest, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The book is the first of the Ukrainian " White papers" on the issues of management, financing, content, monitoring, and equal access to education created by independent experts. A research on educational policy in Ukraine is presented in the book. The proposed publication is based upon the world approaches to definition and elaboration of options to solve educational sector problems. The authors analyze the modern tendencies in the 21-century education development, describe possible alternatives, evaluate their prospects in terms of the implementation, and give recommendations. The main attention is attached to the following key areas of the educational reform: equal access to quality education, content of education, education quality monitoring, governance and financing. The book is for education policy makers, school managers, researchers, pedagogues, students and consultants. |
